FriendConnect

Google launched its entry into the growing field of programs that attempt to share your "social graph" -- your collection of friends and relationships -- across many social networks. The program is called Friend Connect, and it's starting with a handful of sites, including Facebook, Plaxo and Hi5. Friend Connect is also going to support applications under OpenSocial, Google's social network application platform that has been around since last November.

Alliance - Private P2P File-Sharing Networks

Alliance, a free, open-source, cross-platform peer-to-peer application, takes nearly all of the security and privacy concerns out of peer-to-peer file sharing by putting you in charge of your own network. The dead-simple interface lets you add Alliance-using friends to your network and files on your system to share, and you can search, chat, and download like any other peer-to-peer app. The traffic between clients is encrypted at a low level, but you can apply an experimental SSL layer.

Keep Your Muscles Healthy, Not Big

The New York Times' Well section has reassuring news for anyone hitting the gym and not seeing results. Many researchers agree that muscle size and definition are not as important to your long-term health as those muscles' endurance and strength, which prevent atrophy and weakness in old age.

Cool and beautiful representation of the hierarchy which I found linuxconfig.org site.

After installing and setting up the link to your account, you can see all your photos separated into tag folders, edit and back up the pics and their metadata, and crop and resize photos on the fly, all reflected in realtime in your online account.

BitTorrent: Determine If Your ISP is Throttling Your BitTorrent Traffic

Web application Glasnost simulates BitTorrent downloads on your computer to determine whether or not your internet service provider (ISP) is throttling your BitTorrent transfers.

The Big Word Project, Dictionary Based Viral Marketing

A couple of grad students from Ireland have created this site where you can buy a word (at a dollar a letter) to “redefine” it. The redefinition, of course, consists of a link to whatever site you like. Their example is to buy the word monkey (at $6), and have it link back to your site about monkeys.

I bought “last” which link to the melastmohican.net site.

Joined iStockphoto refferal program

I got 16 pictures to promote there so far but I'd better be prepared.

So now I am on 6 programs like this one:
